The Life We Miss
The second we saw Griz out of the whole litter, we knew he was our dog. And somehow, he seemed to know we were his people too because he immediately stayed right by our side.
We fell in love with his playful personality and his little fluffy self right away. From day one, he wanted to be wherever we were. At home, at work, or riding along to any store that allowed dogs, Griz was always there.
He wasn't just a pet that we brought home that day, he instantly became our best friend. The kind of dog that follows you from room to room, makes every day a little better, and becomes such a big part of your life that you can't remember what it was like before them.
Looking back at these pictures, it's crazy to think that this little ball of fluff would end up meaning so much to us. He chose us just as much as we chose him, and we've been inseparable ever since.
Please take a look at Griz before his injury and see what has been taken away from him, and from us...as a result of this company's actions.

Our days used to be filled with swimming multiple times a month, visiting his friends, taking him everywhere with our family, daily car rides, coming to work with us, seeing and greeting so many people each day, getting his favorite pup cups, and playing as much as he wanted. These weren't special occasions; they were simply his everyday life.
Everything that was once normal for Griz has been completely turned upside down.
Puppy Days
Griz immediately fell in love with toys, outside time, naps, and us. He was a little bundle of fur and energy, and we did everything together. Any chance we got, we had him outside exploring the world by our side.
Water Lover
The first time we took Griz swimming, I thought he'd be hesitant to get in the water. Instead, he jumped right in like he'd been doing it forever. From that day on, we couldn't keep him out of the water. Whether he was swimming, hanging out on a float, or just splashing around, he loved every second of it.
Â
Up until his injury, we took him swimming multiple times a month because being in the water was one of his favorite things.
My Best Buds
Griz has always had a special way of making friends with every animal he meets. Size, breed, or species never mattered to him. Whether they were going on adventures, playing at the park, cuddling up, or simply laying together, being around his buddies made him so happy.

Since his injury in January, that's been one of the hardest parts. His doctors have told us he can't be around other animals where he might get too excited and play, risking his recovery. We know he misses his friends, and we can't wait for the day he gets to see them again.
My FamilyÂ
When we started looking for a dog, we knew we weren't just picking out a puppy. We were choosing a dog that would grow up with us, be there for all of life's big moments, and one day be part of the family we dreamed of having.

Then, in August 2025, we found out we were expecting our first baby. It was one of the happiest moments of our lives, and all we could think about was everything that was to come. We couldn't wait for family walks, lake/pool/beach days, and watching our baby grow up with Griz by her side.

Griz had always been my shadow, but after I got pregnant, he became even more attached to me. He was always right there, laying next to me, following me from room to room, and never wanting to be too far away.Â
Always Along For The Ride
If there was one thing Griz never turned down, it was a car ride. He quickly learned exactly what those words meant, and the second I said them, he'd head straight for the door and wait for me to grab my things. Then, all I had to say was, "Load up," and he was in the car, ready to go wherever we were headed.

He loved feeling the wind in his face. On the longer drives, he'd eventually curl up and take a nap. My car was always covered in dog hair, but I never minded. I'd clean it a thousand times over if it meant having my best buddy riding along with us.
Work Mascot
Since the day we brought him home, Griz has been coming to work with me, and he quickly became a staple at the company. Every employee stops to say hello, customers love seeing him, and even our vendors make sure to stop by and say hi whenever they come to the office. He loves the attention just as much as everyone loves seeing him.

Anytime he's not there, the first question is always, "Where's Griz?" He isn't just our dog, he's part of the work family too.

This injury hasn't only affected our immediate family, it's affected everyone who sees him on a regular basis. The people who are used to seeing him pop his head out of my office window every day are heartbroken. They remember the happy, energetic dog who greeted everyone, and now they see him on medication to keep him calm and unable to come to work every day. It's been hard on all of us because so many people love him and miss seeing his face around the office.
Our Handsome Guy
Somehow, Griz always looked so handsome without even trying. The head tilts, the little smiles, and the serious looks. He always looked like he was posing.
A Boy And His Pup Cups
Pup cups quickly became one of Griz's favorite things. The second he heard those words, he'd be waiting by the door, ready to go. Over time, he became so well-known that some employees would see my car pull in and already have a pup cup waiting for him before we even reached the window. It's little things like that that remind us just how many people loved our sweet boy.
Full of Personality
Griz loved his stuffed animals, chasing frisbees, carrying sticks around, and digging holes. He didn't need much to have a good time. His goofy personality is one of the things we love most about him, and he never failed to make us smile.
