This legislation would hold businesses and individuals financially accountable when a companion animal is seriously injured under their care. Griz's Law would require the responsible party to cover all costs associated with the animal's treatment and recovery from beginning to end, ensuring families are not left to bear the financial burden of an injury they did not cause. This includes emergency treatment, surgeries, hospitalization, rehabilitation, medications, follow-up appointments, future medical care related to the injury, medical equipment, travel and mileage to specialty care, lost wages from missed work, and any other necessary expenses incurred throughout the pet's recovery.

I respectfully urge you to support and champion Griz's Law during the upcoming legislative session. Together, we can provide greater protections for Florida families and the pets they love.
